You may want to consider buying a home, rather than renting. It is possible, with good credit to purchase a home with as little as 3.5% down and interest rates between 3.5% to 5% - A $200K home would require about $10,000 to buy with the down payment and closing costs. You payment could be as low as $900.00 per month. If this does not interest you, try craigs list. SLO.

Call me at 805-471-0828 and I will send you available home priced below $200K David@DNorwood.com If you do the math you will find it is significantly less costing to buy a home then to rent a home. You can also view homes on my web site in real time.

That property is huge - 5500 square feet. It used to be a restaurant and probably has not been remodeled for residential use. It would be sort of like camping out, from what I can tell from the listing and also having been in the building.

You already have what is a pretty inexpensive rent for SLO, and you're living in a fairly small unit. Could you be more specific about what you are looking for?
