Hi John,

Thanks for turning to the Real Estate professionals here at TRULIA.

I can help you with both, finding a rental AND purchasing a home.

The property you inquired about is student housing for U.C.F. (party central) and I doubt you'll be able to get a short term rental there.

Please feel free to contact me directly carlrealtycenter@aol.com.

Also, I can send you a list of other properties that are CURRENTLY listed for sale. Also, you’ll be automatically updated if something matching is newly listed, then we can go from there.

I hope this is helpful.

Regards,

Carl Head

Hi John, yes, there are many properties available for rent on a short term basis in the attractions area (short term rental is only allowed in certain areas). While these are mostly booked by vacationing families on a nightly or weekly basis, a 1 month term is possible. There are many sources for booking from direct from owner, to owner listing sites like homeaway or vrbo, to local Management Companies both big and small. The Company I work for is one of the larger Property Management and Rental Companies in the Disney area currently celebrating their 20th year in business. You can search our inventory of hundreds of vacation rentals on my website at http://www.bferryhomes.com/VacationRentalSearch and you are welcome to contact our Reservations Department toll free at 1-877-423-1017 if you see anything you like or to get a special quote for the month long term. Note that short term rentals will be subject to 13% tax (in Kissimmee where the majority of rental properties closest to the attractions are located) just like a hotel. They will come fully furnished with all utilities included.

John:

Hi John:

Of course, there are short term rental properties that you can rent them on a monthly, weekly or even daily basis. They come fully furnished so you can search for your home with no stress. Please email me if you would like me to send you a couple of short term rental places so you can line up your rental situation and then we can hopefully find a great home for you while you stay here.

Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

John,

Yes, you can get a rental for one month, but it would have to be in an area zoned for short term rentals. Most of these in the Greater Orlando area are located out by the attractions. The price is usually much higher than you would expect to rent a home in most areas, but is still probably less than a hotel stay for that period of time.

Unfortunately, the property that you are questioning about is for UCF students only.

I would obviously be more than happy to assist you with your finding temporary housing while looking for a property to purchase as well as finding that home for you.

Contact me and then we can go from there.

There are some areas that are zoned for short term rentals in Orlando, Davenport and Kissimmee. You may be able to find something that will work for you in those areas. There are many websites offering short term rentals. Here is one that I have heard good reviews about.

Hi, John. I work and live in Hunter's Creek. There are apartments available for 1 month in this area. Depending upon whether you will be paying cash or financing, closings can take as little as 1-2 weeks. Please contact me directly to discuss further.

A house would have to be licensed for vacation rental in order to do that, most of which are out in the Davenport area - close to Disney. Also, at this time sales can take several month's to close. You could rent for 7 - 12 months to make sure you like the area.
