Hi Pam,
rentals work on a 6-8 week cycle so if you are moving in march, april or may you are way to early because the inventory is not on the market yet. If you want to move feb 1 , there is property available, you may reach me at findnjhouse.com . The best way to find a good rental is to hook up with a local realtor and wait for your apartment to show up because the inventory moves extremely fast, it is not like sales you have time to get your sales contract together you must move like lightening for the better rentals.

Pam, the last 1 BR in The Siena rented for $2475 almost a year ago......currently there are 2, 2br/2bth units listed at 3300, so your 2300-2400 max is not realistic for that particular building.

Finding "new" or renovated under 2400 in Montclair is challenging, to say the least.

How do you feel about a newer building on Baldwin?

I am particularly interested in a newer condo/townhouse and as I currently live in a family owned apartment want to get away from that. Love properties like the Siena, Commonwealth Gardens, Montclair Residences (if they weren't by Pine Street)...

Sorry. Max $2300-$2400, excluding utilities. That's the TOP of the budget. Live in Astoria now, so used to NY prices.
