RaySiri, Other/Just Looking in Keller, TX

Hi, I am a foreigner and I'm looking for a house for rent near Dallas. What would I need? Is it possible to make a contract without a SSN? Thank you.

Perhaps yes...it always depends on the landlord. They may ask for additional deposit if they can't check your credit or background. You would need your passport, visa, copy of offer letter in many cases.

That will be depending upon the landlord. Typically the SSN is needed to run the background, credit etc but landlord may be willing to make an exception. You may have to put double deposit, show your bank statement etc as well for it to work.

Good luck,
