If you are looking to purchase within a community or condominium in which there is a homeowners association there may be rules in place which limit on the number of dogs and/or a weight limit.

Dear Jack,
It will limit (or eliminate) your condo leasing because there are HOA rules that only allow dogs up to 20 pounds (small dogs).
If you lease a home, you will do better but you will likely have to provide a pet deposit (minimum 500.00) to cover any damage. You will also have to find a sympathetic landlord, hopefully a pet lover! It won't be easy, but I don't think impossible. Be prepared for it to take at least a few months.

Will vary from rental unit to rental unit probably like anywhere in the world...

For the DOGS "well being" it might be better to find a place with a YARD if possible... if you can swing that(typically will cost more money),,,

It will be a factor. Offer good references for your pets and a sizable pet deposit.

Many people in Los Angeles have multiple pets. There are landlords who will rent with higher security/pet deposits. The landlords will want to know the breed and size of your dogs. It sounds
like you will need a house with a nice yard and not a condo. Good luck with your search!
