Hi,

You don't necessarily need to have established credit as long as you don't have bad credit. If you have a 0 FICO score, that means you've always pretty much been a cash customer. That is much better than having a low score with negative trade lines (collections, late payments, defaults, etc..)reporting on your credit report.

Provided you have good Landlord and Employment references and appropriate verifiable income to show you can afford the monthly rent and bills, most Landlords will try to work with you.

You will always need to have first month rent, last month rent in advance and one month security deposit. So you need to have 3 Xs the monthly rent available to pay at the lease signing.

Please feel free to call me if you would like some help finding a place.

Have a great day. Looking forward to speaking with you soon.

All the best,

Also of other things come into the situation when renting then credit. A lot of landlords know that your credit may not be stellar and that is why you choose to rent. First month; last month's and one month's security is the biggest hurdle most renters face.

Go to myfico.com

You should know your credit regardless.

Most important is your ability to pay first month, last month and one month security deposit all at once and still have money to live and pay additional fees.

Yes, most landlords run a credit check and they want you to have 1month rent, 1 month security dep and sometimes your last month rent.
Check your credit report for mistakes. Go to annualcreditreport.com for a free report. You don't pay for this report. Check for errors and dispute any errors. Clear up the mistakes before you apply for a rental or purchase.
Hope this was helpful. Shoot me a e mail, if you have anymore questions or if I can help you find a place to live.

legally required - no.

BUT most landlords would like to rent to someone with the likelihood of being paid the monthly rent..

how do they make that determination??? A credit report.
