You must tell the truth about your purchase intentions if borrowing money but otherwise this is a great time to purchase. Foreclosures and HUD owned properties are in better shape than ever because unfortunately for the folks losing them, there are people loosing their homes that normally would not be loosing them are they are better taken care of.

I don't think there is a magic number. As long as you can obtain financing and insurance then you should be able to have all you would like. BUT lets see what everyone else says.
