Rental Basics in San Diego>Question Details

Julie, Home Owner in San Diego, CA

We are buying a condo in San Diego, CA. We intend on renting it out weekly and/or monthly. How can I find out rental occupancy rates in that area?

Help the community by answering this question:

Weekly and/or monthly rentals suggest that you are using the condo as a vacation rental. Please check with the HOA for the rules and regulations.
Try which will give you an indication of the rental rate for month-to-month. Another resource is VRBO ( vacation rental by owner) which you can use to compare your rental with what is available.
You might want to consider a cleaning company, deposits and insurance.
Good luck

I would check with the San Diego Apartment Assoc. ( ...

Sometimes I find that our local lender can come up with that info as well.
If you'd like his contact info, contact me via email and I'll send it back to you ...
