Should I rent a Section 8 house?

Yes, just because it was on the list as a Section 8 home does
not mean the house is bad.

It means that the Landlord is willing to take Section 8 eligible tenants.
You can always pay for and do an inspection if you wish.

Lastly, drive around and me sure you are comfortable with the neighborhood.

If that's what you can rent, then I don't think there's much of a question whether you should.
