Rents can vary depending on amenities, location and condition. A quick check of some Internet rent sites indicate $1450-$1500 are the median rents along Fremont Blvd. That means half of the rents are higher and half lower than that amount, but your rent will be determined by the property you are considering, not necessarily what someone else is paying in a different property or different location.

Because of all the foreclosures, many people need places to rent. That generates a lot of competition for the available rentals. Supply and demand dictate that prices will go up. The medians may already be out of date.

Good luck! Many are finding they do not have the luxury of being picky. Finding anything acceptable and available can be a major accomplishment.

Hello again,

great question, however I have seen condos / apartments range from 1,300 - 2000. depending on condition, age, upgrades, etc. (seems that properties with walking distance to BART are closer to $1600-2000.
