Moving from Brooklyn to SF Bay Area. Need advice on best bang for my buck. Looking between Walnut Creek-San Ramon.

Size: 2-3 Bedroom
Parking: Yes 1 car
Budget: 1700-2100

Wish List:

3 bedroom/garage
Near Highway
Near YMCA/Day Care
Within 30 minutes to Walnut Creek and Airport
Walkable neighborhood

I agree with Bernard. Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill are your best bets. If you extend just a bit south of San Ramon, the next city is Dublin, which is in Alameda county. Closer to to airports (San Jose and Oakland) plus lower property tax.

You will probably find that Walnut Creek or maybe Pleasant Hill, just possibly San Ramon, will be your best bet. Some really good areas of Pleasant Hill are very walkable and in San Ramon, particularly Twin Creeks area would suit your needs. Lots of possibilities in Walnut Creek.
