Is it legal to rent an apartment that the county did not approve for occupancy. The county required them to
take down all walls and return it to original one room second floor of a barn. They tore it down county came back and checked. Once county left they built it back into an apartment and continued to rent it out. I moved out and now are trying to say I abandoned the property and take me to court, They threw away our things and are trying to rent it again. Is any of this legal

Go see a lawyer!!! Most Lawyers offer free initial consultation. Gather your paperwork, and call the City Permit Dept. If the property is deemed non-habitable they will throw a lien on it,
