Property management companies vary in fees. Keep in mind that tenants don't respect your property as you might you review property as a business NOT as your home.

Short tern or seasonal rentals involve less risk of being exploited by the renter because the rental management companies normally bill the renter up front with a hefty damage deposit and all rent is collected in advance by them as well.

Their fee for professional services is usually in the 12-20% range and is deducted from the rental money. This amount can cover a wide range of associated services including finding and servicing the renter, overseeing the property both during and after the rental period, arranging for repairs and maintenance, etc.

Our recommendation is to get the names of several local management companies and interview them, being sure to obtain the scope of their services in writing.
