Hi Angel,

As a licensed professional, we are not suppose to say if this is a good area. This is an violation of fair housing law.

Here is some of the reference I would recommend to you. go to http://www.dallaspolice.net, under crime stat. you can pull out crime report in the area.

This would be the best thing to do.

Federal housing laws prohibits Realtors from giving an opinion about an area. HUD can impose huge fines and risk loss of license.

This Trulia site offers demographic information & shows factual information about neighborhoods. Enter the city or zipcode in the search area.

http://www.trulia.com/real_estate/Dallas-Texas/crime/

Once you get a idea of how those areas compare against each other, then drive the areas you are interested in the most and see which areas you feel most comfortable with.

Then select a Realtor to work with solely and build rapport with them. Tell them what you want / need. Don’t ask them directly where is the best area. If they know what you are looking for, they can guide you to what you need and still remain within the limits of the law.

May I suggest two great websites
http://www.bestplaces.net
http://www.city-data.net
These should help.
Please call, email or text me and I will set you up on a property search as soon as you have narrowed it down a little.

How's the weather?

Angel, I'm going to need more details. Your question is too vague for a professional answer. Dallas is the third-larges city in the state of Tejas...and the ninth-largest in the United States. The metro hosts over 1,197,816 people.

Best Regards,
Hunt

I think most people like this zip code area. There is crime everywhere though...Dallas is a big city after all. This zip code covers lots of price ranges as well and different areas. Some are better than others.

There are rentals from the 500USD/month range to over $20,000/month.

Good Morning Angel,

Oak Lawn has many professionals and urban types living in upscale townhouses, condos, apartments, and duplexes. Along the Uptown portion on McKinney Avenue and along Turtle Creek Boulevard, there are many new high-rise condominiums and apartments. It is also a very diverse neighborhood with well established areas of older, single family homes. Oak Lawn is known for its good restaurants, as well as its many bars and clubs.

At the top of this Trulia page you can click on the "Community Info" link under LOCAL INFO. There you will find helpful neighborhood information including Crime Reports.

Please let me know if you have questions or would like me to search for properties that meet your criteria. I would be happy to help.

Hi, You can visit http://www.HomeFair.com and click on city reports for in-depth crime stats and area demographics. Some other options are http://www.SpotCrime.com and also calling the local police dept. Unfortunately agents are prohibited from talking about crime.
