In California it's 18, but there are land lords in this economy willing take their chances and rent to under age kids.

You should be 18 years old unless you are a legally emancipated adult. Otherwise, you could have a roomate who is 18 or older to sign the contracts, etc... I am sure other states are different as some places you can get married at 15 or 16 so I am sure the rental age limits are also somewhere on par. Good luck.

You need to be at least 18 years of age or legally emancipated to be able to enter into the contract. You can possibly rent an apartment if someone if willing to rent it for you and put you on as an occupant, however this should be disclosed whether they will be residing in the property or not. Feel free to search all apartment, house, and condo rentals on my website anytime.

Usually 18, unless you have the consent of a parent or your have documents from the courts showing that you are emancipated.

To rent an apartment, you must be at least 18 years old. Otherwise, someone else with an age of 18 or older, like an adult parent or legal guardian, could legally sign a rental contract including the names of minors with date of birth.

A contract with a minor is voidable by the minor at any time. This means the landlord renting to a minor has the risk of having the minor void or cancel the lease contract and this can be a major headache legally with occupancy and any other issues...

That is to say.. it depends... you may be able to find a landlord that will rent if you are under 18 years of age, but typically they like to evaluate tenants ability to pay, etc... so there is no clear answer...

Best of luck!

You have to be 18 to legally engage in a contract, but individual landlords or complexes might have their own rules.
