There are no rent controls in Chicago. You have been referred before to the Chicago Housing Authority website and information resources. Start there for information about affordable housing.

The condos have guide lines of the associations and the law in Chicago , you need to call the Association.
Cicero and Berwyn have a rent control of numbers of persons allow in unit

Chicago is not like New York. We do not have rent control. If a landlord chooses to raise the rent when you lease is up he or she can do so without an caps.

Each unit owner can do what they want with their places as long as its within guide lines of the associations and the law.
