Condo rental in Palm Beach, FL

Asked by Cathy, Florida Wed Nov 21, 2012

I just rent a condo out, tenant paid first, last month rental and 1 month security deposit. My property manage advice me that the security deposit and the last month rental should be deposited into a non interest bearing bank account. My question is that is it mendatory to do so for both security deposit and last month rental? any rules and regulations in Florida?

Please advice!
Cathy

As suggested I would talk to your agent or real estate attorney about your options.

Good luck

Hi Cathy,

What does the contract call for? If in doubt, contact a real estate attorney for advice.

I hope everything works out well for you.

Cathy, you should talk to your agent, but it does sound like she's giving you good advice.
