As a Realtor® I never charge for information. Are you maybe talking about some of those sites that charge you for looking at repostings of legal actions? There are sites out there that call themselves forclosure sites that list legal actions on properties. The homes on the sites are not available for sale at those prices and may not or ever be for sale.I have investors that I work with and they purchase homes that are available for sale. They are not spinning their wheels trying to contact every person that may have missed a couple of payments.
Good luck and when you get ready to buy a fixer contact a Realtor® I am sure that your area is similar to mine and there are a lot of available properties at attractive prices for rehab.
