Our outdoor bbq/bar area, is under a huge grass palapa cover, with built in BBQ, dual side burner, under counter refrigerator, freezer, stainless drawers and pantry (plenty of storage), microwave, double sink, 6 gal hot water heater, huge bar top and eating area (20 people easily), built in refrigerated keg cooler and tap for 2 kegs, plus satellite HDTV, misting system, lighting, ceiling fan, etc. You get the idea, this bbq is maybe a bit over the top, but aside from the WOW factor when people see it, is there any value as a second or outdoor kitchen? What would qualify as a second kitchen? - seems the only appliance I'm truly missing is an oven (aside from the built in microwave).
Steve,
It would be an outdoor kitchen! A second kitchen would be an additional complete kitchen in your home or a separate guest suite.

I'd like to see that outdoor BBQ. Over the top.... no, just really cool and a great feature when you go to sell. It would be considered an outdoor kitchen, not a second kitchen. And even if you could classify it as an outdoor kitchen, it would have a better marketing value as an outdoor kitchen. Sounds like I don't need to expand my BBQ area, I'll just use yours :)
I'm not sure you would want to state it is a second kitchen but outdoor seems to be accurate.
Let us know when the next Party is and we will bring the ...the..well from the sounds of it you don't need anything you got it all.
Sounds like a great place.
Hi Steve,
Looks like your busy on Trulia this morning :-)
Sounds like you have a great outdoor kitchen to me.
The BBQ is actually it's own oven.
