That's impossible to answer with any accuracy because you really don't provide enough information. Make a list of exactly what you plan to do, and contact several builder/home renovation companies. Make sure to factor in permits and make sure the contractors are licensed and insured.

Frankly, NJ is not a 'square footage" state, therefore, it is difficult to respond to your question with certainty and one can only "guestimate" as added value, but not guarantee results . . . as compared to Texas (a state within which I lived for many years) that bases not only rentals, but values of homes for sales on square footage).

FIRST ANSWER

Hey Chris,

Average cost for construction is anywhere from $50-$100 per square foot depending on if you are doing something like a simple basic garage conversion or something extravegant that includes extra plumbing or upgraded electrical service. What exactly are we looking at here?
