If you have updated all the major mechanicals in your home is it worth time and money to replace doors and trim or let the buyer do the cosmetics?

You dont have to spend alot of money to make it look nice, a finshed home shows better than something in progress, buyers buy what they see

If you want to get the most money you can from your home I would certainly take the time and replace doors in trim that are in unsightly disrepair. Sometimes buyers have a hard time with vision and if whay they see looks like a disaster it will reflect in their offer even if your mechanicals are all perfect. Hope I've helped.

It makes perfect sense to deal with the infrastructure and services first, but buyers don't buy infrastructure, they buy what they see. You would have done better to make the place look great and negotiate on the mechanicals than upgrade the mechanicals and sell what looks like a fixer.

So, now off you go to do the cosmetics.

Best regards,

Some times those last few details are what will really show the house.

Good Luck.
