How much would it cost to tear it down.?

I found some land up north with an old uninhabitiable home on it. I am trying to get some idea on what my cost would be to have it torn down and have the land prepared for a mobile home. The home is frame, around 1000 sq ft, 1 story and I don't think there is a basement. I think there is a cellar located on the side of the home.

In the DC area, it costs about $10K to tear that down... but its probably cheaper where you are. The big expense will likely be dump fees. In some areas, you can "donate" to the fire department, and they'll catch the place on fire and run live drills - and then you get a tax write off for it! Check out that option, and also salvage options for recylcable materials through the use of deconstruction services (more environmentally friendly, too). Good luck!
