Can anyone recommend a few good Masonry's?

I haven't had to have a complete fire place and chimney taken out of a house before. It's old an crumbling and the new Buyer would prefer to see the cost of just taking it out.

We did that on our old house as part of a major remodel. If you're not repairing or replacing, I'm not sure you need anyone other than a general contractor. It's a demolition job. They'll probably need to be able to repair the siding, roof and some sheet rock, etc.

I would look them up online. This way you will be able compare their prices and reviews at the same time and save you a lot of time! After that I would check out the contractors that look best and have them give you a quote. That being said though, you don't want to just pick the cheapest one. Taking out a fireplace will require and experienced mason! http://www.aaa1masonry.com/services/

Masonry is a real art. There's a huge difference between the work of a skilled mason and an novice. My dad made a patio out back and it didn't look very good. He was a technical writer, after all, not a mason.

My husband and I are looking for a good Masonry too. We want to have a few things done to our home before moving out. We believe that by doing this, the value of the home will go up. Please keep us posted. http://www.mweissmasonryinc.ca/en/
