Can anyone recommend a few good Masonry's?

Asked by Sheri Sinclair, 98092 Tue Jun 3, 2014

I haven't had to have a complete fire place and chimney taken out of a house before. It's old an crumbling and the new Buyer would prefer to see the cost of just taking it out.

We did that on our old house as part of a major remodel. If you're not repairing or replacing, I'm not sure you need anyone other than a general contractor. It's a demolition job. They'll probably need to be able to repair the siding, roof and some sheet rock, etc.

Would it matter if a masonry looked at it versus a general contractor? If a mason is the one that's going to be putting in the fireplace or repairing it later, I'm sure they could give an accurate price point. And Jen, I hope you find a professional that suits your needs in putting in that fireplace! http://www.mblandscape.com/masonry-stone-pavers-new-york-rockland-county.html

Thank you for this answer! I was wondering the same thing, but I need masonry put in, not taken down. I am putting in a brick fireplace, and I want a professional to do it. I want to make sure that it is done right, because it will be expensive to fix if it's not. http://www.mrmasonllc.com
