I have lived in the Dr.Phillips area for four years now and love it! You are just the right distance from everything. The schools are great and the home prices are very reasonable right now. I have two kids myself and the best site I found when we decided to relocate here was greatschools.net. It's a great resource. Please let me know if you need help finding anything.

I moved to Orlando 6 years ago and lived in the same area since, and I recommend you Wyndham Lakes.
Great Schools!!!

Your options will, at the end of the day, depend on just where you buy.

Some suggest Windermere, great schools, but average price of home sold there is 468,634 last year.

Others suggest good schools is a flexible term, and they maybe right.

Others suggest small class size is the answer.

So what I suggest is that you find an agent or two to talk with, tell them what price you are looking at, what you mean by good school, and then let the agent direct you to those areas that fit your needs and wants.

Hi, there are many nice areas around the Orlando area in which to relocate. If you would like information on schools a great website to go to is the FL Dept. of Education. The site is:

To check school grades and additional information on that site go to:

Each county has good schools and a lot depends on what you are looking for in regards to your child.

Best of luck,

That depends on your budget. Are you planning to purchase Cash or will try to get a Mortgage? Areas pretty much the whole Area has great schools. Other suggestions will be the Seminole County Area and the Cities of Oviedo and Winter Springs in Seminole County. You can always search our MLS system in my website and also apply for a home Mortgage for a FAST approval with me also as a Direct National Lender. NMLS# 336662

Alan's got a good list there. I'd add Harmony and the Lake Nona area. A 12 year old has a unique opportunity in Harmony. The middle school is just for students who live in Harmony and last count I saw had just 85 students in 6th, 7th, AND 8th grade. Kind of like a private education. Check it out.
