I would not recommend asking this question to people trying to sell you something. I think you'll get more impartial advice from the North Long Beach police station on atlantic and del amo...
That's definitely one of the safer parts of long beach IMHO though...

While there is no completely crime free areas, I have never heard of any gang activity in Bixby Hill.
