I live in Bangor and I will tell you...not the place you are going to want to live. Down town is nothing but trash and trouble, we drive miles out of our way sometimes to avoid driving through town. The school district is mediocre, and becoming increasingly less. The outskirts of town are nicer, quieter and more upscale, but give yourself a few years of living here and you are going to be disgusted every time you have to go to the CVS because you will find nothing but scum. And don't go to the local down town market because you will pay twice as much for two times less quality of food than you would at Giant. I have lived here for 7 years and am on my way out and couldn't be happier! Unfortunately, this will always be home, but the home I can visit only on a need to basis!
