Are there any "up and coming" neighborhoods in Augusta?
LPB...You seem to like the Charleston style/craftsman style home...view Bartram Trail, Riverwood Plantation, Hammonds Ferry, River Island, Jones Creek Plantation & The Estate @ Jones Creek. Each of these neighborhoods are close, if not connected, to a golf course...whether the course be private or public. What is the price range? This will determine location and affordability of which "trendy" neighborhood will work. Visit http://www. BlanchardandCalhoun.com to view "B&C Neighborhoods."
Let me know what I can do to help in your search.
Thanks for your answer, however, a gated golf course subdivision built in the 1980's is not my idea of an up and coming/trendy neighborhood. For that matter, neither are those overpriced ranches in Murry Hill! Outside of Augusta there are inexpensive suburbs aplenty to choose from- also not cutting edge. Any other ideas?
Anyone else?
Lpb,
I'm a realtor in the Atlanta area, but I'm from Augusta originally and most of my family still lives there.
I can tell you that some of the best places to buy in Augusta are some of the older established communities. Consider subdivisions such as Westlake or neighborhoods scattered along Walton way. You would also be surprised at what you can find for your money outside the Augusta area. There are great properties close to Clarks Hill Lake.
Are you selling your home in Atlanta and relocating to Augusta? I may be able to help you in both arenas.
