I just put in a new Trane heater with A/C unit and it has been working fantastic so far.
Greenwood Heating and Air Conditioning in Kirkland has top notch service and quality furnaces. Give them a try.
Olympic Mechanical has done great work for my clients and for me... besides the furance get an electric air filter (Honeywell) all the difference in the world: cleaner air & cleaner house
I agree with ARDELL - Trane Heaters are pretty good from what I have seen. As far as good companies I have encountered:
I really liked this company - they were reasonable and did a good job. Matuska Heating (425) 776-4867
I also like Warner's Furnace 425) 485-8301 (He does water heaters too)

I don't know enough to suggest a brand for you but I do have a great store just down the road from Kenmore in downtown Bothell. I work with JD Davis with Sundance Energy Services alot and really like their service and products. They have very high customer satisfaction and are very involved in the community as well.
Check out their website here: http://www.sundanceenergy.com.
Hope that helps!
Good luck!
Check out Trane Heaters. I'm always impressed when I see them, but that could be perception vs. reality.
Rosso is the best around. They are locally owned and operated. Customer service is number one. They handle all the top brands, but the one I aways recommend to my clients is Lennox. They are by far the most reliable, and it is a brand a future buyer will recognize. Hope this helps. Email me if you want the contact info
