We are a newly retired couple from out of state. We wish to be closer to our only daughter. She lives and
works in the Minneapolis area. Do you think Hastings would be a great place to start this next phase of our lives? We would like to be close to a college or technical school. We also would like to know about libraries, coffee shops, and golf courses. Are there any special ways in Hastings to meet people with similar interests? Hastings is a fantastic place to start your next phase. Hastings is close to several technical colleges and we have our own public library, several "chain-store" coffee shops and several "mom-and-pop" coffee shops. Hastings prides itself on the "keep it local" mentality to help our local businesses thrive in this corporate large store age we live in. We are surrounded by at least 7 golf courses and have our own country club to join. There are many events throughout town to make meeting people easy.
