Both locations are perfect for today's YUP. Mt. Airy is full of trees, parks, shops, restaurants and close to Main Street in Manayunk and The Hill at Chestnut Hill. Northeast Philly has brick and mortar not many trees at all but every store you could ever need is there.

Some people like to stay in Northeast Philadelphia close to their work. Some like to stay in Mount Airy. It depends on you. You can see the homes in both places and I am willing to show homes. You make the final decision.

West Mount Airy has some great restaurants, shops, galleries. I'd check that neighborhood out.

I love W Mt Airy due to its proximity to downtown Chestnut Hill. Parts of East Falls, Manayunk and Roxborough also fit the bill. As my firm specializes in affordable luxury, feel free to call or email to set up a private consult looking forward to it!

So many factors that are subjective need to be considered in making this choice.
But, personally, I would always choose W Mt. Airy if I were you.
Closer to Center City, parks, Manayunk, choice of old charming homes and proximity to Chestnut Hill.
Never been a fan of North East.
A lot of effluent professionals live in W Mt. Airy and Chestnut Hill.
Would definitely be my choice.
Should you need any help locating a suitable purchase or rental in either area please do not hesitate to contact me.
