Love Nh, Home Buyer in Moultonboro, NH

My family is seriously considering relocating to Moultonborough. We love it there. Will we starve or are there job oppertunities for middle class?

We have an 8yrs boy, do locals take in new comers well? How far will we have to drive to find unemployment and what kind of jobs will there be and how is the pay? We are not looking to get rich, just average hard working people. We vacation in the area and figure why not live there instead of only visiting once a year.

Hi Lovenh- This is a great website that I recommend to most people-
http://www.city-data.com/city/Moultonborough-New-Hampshire.html

gives very good data an unbiased info on any city/ town. Sometimes it also gives the town's largest employers, etc.
If you need any further help, please let me know. I also work for a local NH mortgage lender, if that is a need of yours.
Thanks,

Ken L.

It is dificult to give exact answers as there are so many types of employment available. Moultonborough enjoys a great variety of housing opportunities from the affordable to first class estates on the lake. The employment varies as well from the different types of employment available for different types of industry.

The town locals are a good mix of hard working people, to summer residents to the retired. You can find anything you want if you look hard enough.

That is a tough question to answer because we don't know your educational background and career experience. I recommend that you look around on the popular job boards and see what is out there. For example, here is a generic search on Monster.com within 10 miles of Moultonboro:

http://jobsearch.monster.com/PowerSearch.aspx?where=Moultonb…

A great deal of the industry in that area is seasonal tourism and service businesses as well as a lot of small businesses, but depending on how far you are willing to drive there are some industrial, manufacturing, and professional jobs available.
