Marin County is the epicenter of healthy family living. The air is clean, the weather is conducive to outdoor play and activities most of the year around and many of the towns (with the exception of Sausalito) are both naturally and structurally set up for families with young children. The is a large selection of fantastic public and privete schools, after school activities, family friendly restaurants, a selection of beaches, boating, biking, community centers with pools, public parks a Selection of churches, public and private golf an tennis clubs- in short one of the nations greatest places to live and raise children - an all within 15-30 minutes San Francisco

Great for families. There are scatterings of parks everywhere, some, like Old Mill Park, set in the redwoods. Biking/walking trails cross the wetlands at the bay's edge, linking you to Sausalito in the south to the Tiburon peninsula in the east. There are public and private tennis courts, plus at least three parks with large grassy areas (Boyle, Sycamore, Bayfront).

While there are single, professional people living in Mill Valley due to the great outdoor living and close proximity to San Francisco and the East Bay, the school district is noted for its outstanding test scores and parent involvement. Along with that comes Little League, Girl Scout cookie sales and activities at the Mill Valley Community Center along with neighborhood swim and tennis clubs throughout the town.

Mill Valley is an amazing place to raise a family. With excellent schools, health care, numerous parks, and mild year round weather, with over 70% of the land in the county as dedicated open space, there is always plenty to do. San Francisco and the Bay Area is a very intelligent, sophisticated community, and there are always events happening. The diversity of the region helps us grow very well rounded children.
