The majority of residents in Naples are kid and up to 41 years old. Then up to 60 years old, and 3rd 60 to .... We have some of the best schools in the State of Florida. Naples is a very secure and clean place to raise a family. I have been here for 38 years and love it. I raised my two kids here all alone and will do it again in a minute. The safest place to be. You have everything you want in Naples. See the pictures of Naples on my website.

We used to live in Charlotte County and spent some time in Naples. My impression is that it would not be a child-friendly place. I say this because it is somewhat "exclusive" and is made up of higher-income households. Nothing wrong with money, but generally this means you're living among retirees or singles.

I remember reading a news article about Naples having trouble recruiting and keeping good teachers, because most teachers cannot afford to live there or commute in.

Speaking from experience, living in a retiree community really stinks if you have children. Kids need other kids in the neighborhood to feel at home - and retirees often have little tolerance for children - even good ones.

I guess the best endorsement would be if you have children would you raise them here, well my daughter and my three grandchildren moved here three years ago and love it. The schools are geared to stimulate children who need more stimulation because they are a little more advanced. They also have after school programs that are available for a fee. Parks have a variety of programs for children of all ages.

Collier County public scchools operate 35 elementary, middle and high schools and 27 new schools will be built over the next 20 years due to the area's growth. Collier county continues to have one of the strongest economies in the state of Florida with one of the lowest unemployemnt rates. Making it a great area for a young family.
