Many familed have enjoyed the pride of educating their children from preK to college right here in our village.
Many Churches offer quality care and education for pre-schoolers and then move on to our Miami
Shores Elementary school, Doctors Charter School, St. Rose of Lima or Miami Country Day. After high school it is a short ride to Miami Dade Jr. college, Barry U or Johnson & Wales. It's a great place to
grow-our country club facilities, swimming pool, tennis courts and golf maintain a high qualifty of life for social activities. Our VILLAGE PLACE along NE 2nd Avenue hosts our police station, village hall,
library, post office, professional offices as well as great restaurants, Childrens' Playhouse theatre, and boutique shops.

Parents seeking out quality education for their little ones would do well to shop for real estate in Miami Shores due to the excellent schooling options. Miami Shores Elementary School was recognized as a School of National Excellence. It is housed in an Art Deco historical landmark building constructed in 1929. Doctors Charter School of Miami Shores is a top-rated school that uses a college prep curriculum and works in conjunction with Barry University and the North Dade Medical Foundation. The parks and recreation link on the following site lists some local parks, etc…with short descriptions of each.

Miami Shores Village boasts numerous amenities and activities for children: the 'tot lot', the Community Center and Field House and playing fields, many children's activities at the Brockway Memorial Library, theatrical productions at the Children's Playhouse Theater, and of course, the beautiful Aquatic Center with its 'Pirate's Cove' lagoon exclusively for Miami Shores' residents. We also have an A-Rated elementary school as well as numerous private schools for tots through high school.
