Bastrop is a wonderful place to live! I personally live in Cedar Creek, a short drive from Bastrop and Austin. We have already experienced excellent growth with the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort, a new shopping center and several upcoming residential and commercial plans. If you enjoy nature, we offer several state and local parks, the Colorado River, McKinney Roughs, the Capital of Texas Zoo...the list goes on! Housing is much more affordable than Austin and you definitely get more bang for your buck! We have wonderful schools, including a new state-of-the-art high school in Cedar Creek. We recently began construction on a theatre arts center and sports complex for the county. If you ever want to talk about Bastrop County, please feel free to give me a call. Thank you, Heather Claxton
