Wisconsin, like most places, has some excellent golf courses. It is difficult to golf during the winter there, however, so it certainly has it's season!

Good luck finding your golfing haven!!

Wisconsin could be considered a destination state believe it or not.
A few PGA tourney's have been held here over the last few years thanks inpart to the Kohler area.
The US Senior Open was held at the Whistling Straights there.
There are many golf courses, public and private for all levels. Wisconsinites love golf because it's a sport you can do while drinking beer.

Wisconsin is a wonderful place to golf and offers a magnificent variety of courses. I specialize in the Lake Geneva area and there are great signature courses at Geneva National, the Grand, Hawks View, and numerous other smaller courses. Please do email me if you would like specifics. I have some wonderful new homes , tkown homes and condos that are all located on the golf course at Geneva National that I would be delighted to show.

Not in the Winter. You will never find the ball.

Wisconsin is often rated as having some of the most consistently solid public access courses in the country. Despite our short season, many avid golfers play from April - November. In the Milwaukee area, a municipal course is a PGA stop (Brown Deer) and there are at lease 5-6 other terrific courses including Washington County, The Bog, Bristlecone Pines...

In addition, a short drive (under 2 hours) will get you to a number of other very high quality courses including the ones mentioned up at The American Club, Lake Geneva, The Bull at Pinehurst Farms, Lawsonia and more.

Yes, there are several excellent courses in Wisconsin. The most popular courses are Pete Dye designed courses. Blackwolf Run and Whistling Straits which is a Scottish links course along the shore of Lake Michigan just north of Sheboygan, they are both owned by the Kohler Company. There have been several PGA tournaments. For more information visit http://www.destinationkohler.com to get more information. There is also the The Bull, located at Pinehurst Farms in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin it is the only Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course in Wisconsin. For more information on that course visit http://www.golfthebull.com .

You asked, "Is Wisconsin a good place to golf?"

My question to you is, "Does a fish have lips?!?"
