Is Vinegar Hill area of Edisto Island a safe neighborhood?
We're searching for a small second home and want to visit some of the areas near Charleston and the beach. Do homes along the Indigo Hill Road area have a low crime rate? We'd like something out in the country with as little land. When we come down to the area, we'd like to have some ideas of where to look.
Vinegar Hill...Edisto Island is mixed with old and new...We have a lot million dollar homes and some remaining what I call Island Shacks. Vinegar Hill is still mixed. However, most of the people who live in this area are very nice and easy to get along with...http://www.calgriffin.com
I work and live on the island. Questions about crime are very difficult for realtors to answer. What I consider safe, others may argue otherwise. I send my son to daycare on Indigo Hill Rd. and never had any problems but I encourage you to come view the area in person as there is no comparison to seeing the area with your own eyes. There are two homes on Indigo Hill Rd. currently available and several others nearby. These are some of the least expensive homes on the island.
