Ivan - Naples has a very diverse community. For its size Naples has lots of arts - we have the Naples Philharmonic Center, the Naples Art Museum, numerous small playhouses and theatrical groups, and art galleries. In the Bayshore area, plans are in the works for it to be developed as an artist colony.

Without a doubt, you need to plan a visit to Naples and experience the wonder for yourself. We can only provide insight as we see and percieve it individually. It's important to view things with your ideals in ming and only you can accomplish this.

Naples is extremely fortunate to have a woman, Mira Daniels who had the vision of a first class philharmonic center in our small town. The Philharmonic center rivals the Lincoln Center in New York, You can see opera, ballet, all genres of music, art, speakers, comics, Broadway plays to mention a few. There is something happening every night and some days. There is also a wonderful local theater – the Sugden Theater that uses local talent to put on productions in both a large theater and a small theater. Both are always looking for volunteers. We were voted the number one art town with a population of 30,000 so there are lots of galleries. You can always drive an hour and a half to Miami if that doesn’t work for you or 40 minutes to Ft. Myers to the Barbara B Mann theater. But really Naples is the tops.

When I moved to Naples from the New York City area about eight years ago, I wasn't sure if my love for theater, dance and the arts would continue to be nourished. I was very pleasantly surprised. Naples is a "cultural paradise." American Style Magazine named Naples among the top 25 (Small Cities and Towns). In Naples we have a wide variety of cultures that make up are community. As for the arts we have local artests and art shows on a regular bases on both 5th St and 3rd Ave. We have the Philharmonic and the Sugden Theater. There is a multitude of Arts profeesionals living and working in the area. I hope this answers your question
