I'm thinking about moving to Tega Cay

I would like to know if the community is an empty nester community or are there a lot of small children and stay at home parents? I have 2 kids of my own and moving to a neighborhood that has a good network of parents, kids of the same age and schools/pre-schools are important.

Steve -

Welcome to the Carolinas!! Tega Cay absolutely rocks!! It could be exactly what you are looking for. I am a real estate agent with over 17 years experience and I recently moved to Tega Cay myself. I have lived in over 20 different places in my life and Tega Cay is by far my favorite. It is very family friendly and has many wonderful aspects to it. Many different options in terms of prices and age of homes and with the great schools and close proximity to Charlotte it really is a great place to live.

If I can be of assistance to you, either with information about Tega Cay or Fort Mill in general, please let me know.

I can be reached at 803.370.9324 or buca1122@aol.com.

Good luck with your move

Take care

Steve, good luck on your move!
Remember the 3 things with real estate: inspection, inspection, inspection.
Homes in this area have been built very fast due to the rapid growth and also with the lack of high paid skilled subcontractors therefore many problems are found in 99 out of 100 homes. I would not worry too much since everything can typically be corrected but you need to know the whole story before you puchase.

Let me know if I can help, I am the only certified independent inspector in this area.

Hi Steve - Tega Cay has it all! There is a great diversity from empty nesters to newly-weds and everything in between. Tega Cay is in the Fort Mill School district and the district is strongly supported by the parents and the community. Tega Cay has great amenities and recreational sports leagues for youth while having Lake Access, Golf, Tennis and more! Fort Mill is also strong in amenities and recreational attractions for children and adults. Since the two towns are so close together, you get the best of both worlds! I moved here from New Jersey in 2001 with my two boys and I have never looked back! We love it here! Welcome and please don't hesitate to contact me if you need any help or have questions. Welcome to South Carolina!

There ARE neighborhoods in Tega Cay that the demographics are families with young children. Why Tega Cay? I am a Carolina native and know all the surrounding cities around Charlotte. The Growth is amazing even in this market, and Charlotte and surrounding cities were rated in the top 5 cities in the NATION for appreciation last year. HERE WE GROW AGAIN!! Please feel free to contact me with questions and help with your move.

If you are needing to know about schools a great website I recommend is http://www.greatschools.net. You can compare schools on this website and see what they are rated.

Tega Cay/Fort Mill are very well known for schools-the best in SC. Minutes from Charlotte, the area offers access to shopping, sports, great restaurants. Nieghborhood vary from the 190's up to 1.5 million. It is NOT an empty nester area, but there are a couple of communities for those over 55. Please call or visit my website. We do have a full time buyer agent who would love to send you additional information. home for sale that meet your needs, etc. Thanks for asking and HEAD SOUTH!
