My job will be in the Litchfield Hills area?
I live in Ahwahtukee and really like the area. 85045 and 85048 are the zips. The schools are really good (see Desert Vista High School and Mountain Point High School). This would most likely be to far for you to commute, but I have always found that areas with good schools do well. Try searching the school districts near your job as a good first start. Also, I would recommend short term renting, as the market here is at or near bottom, so the good deals will be gone if you rent too long. You could also look at leasing a house with the option to buy. I am not a realtor (I work on the financing side) so my perspective is the number of purchase loans we are seeing.
Can't legally answer the question, JG ... sorry. Fair Housing prohibits steering clients toward or away from any given area.
If you're working in Litchfield Park also take a look at Goodyear and Avondale. If you're thinking about renting, but are certain you'll be here a while (3 - 5 years), it's worth looking at the new builds if only for the variety of homes and incentives being offered.
Just got done spending four days in new builds throughout Goodyear and Litchfield Park. The selection and pricing's fairly amazing.
jgbrody,
I am not familiar with Litchfield Hills. Do you mean Litchfield Park? That is the southwest Valley and is home to some fantastic neighborhoods.
Check you the website http://www.goodyearhomesource.com for local info of that region.
This is a large area. I suggest visiting Desert Wide Property Management website at http://www.desertwide.com...
