Realtors® typically do not provide specific comments regarding "crime & safety" due to Federal/State anti-steering law exposure. An individual who "directs a particular race to a certain neighborhood and away from others" may be accused of "steering".
Given this, I personally refer clients to the various "crime & safety" websites (provided below) to obtain their information for 3 primary reasons:
1) One does not know the threshold of a Client's comfort level. A property crime may not have the same weight as a more serious event in a Client's mind.
2) As citizens, we typically hear very little of what actually goes on in a City every day. The typical city resident only hears about 2-3% of what actually happens on a daily basis.
3) A “nice†area can convert to a “bad†area quickly subject to the sensitivity of the individual processing the information concerning an event.
Your best source of information for arriving at an answer to your question will be the San Jose Police Department.
You can also refer to the sites below.
In my opinion, Evergreen area is only in zip codes 95148,95135 and part of 95138. I don't know and have no idea when Evergreen stretch to Tully Road. To me, Tully Library is east side of San Jose.
For your second safety question, you should spend a little bit of your time searching Trulia, we have answered this questions many, many times in the past. Also, if you can tell me which area has no crime, then I will buy a house there. That area is in heaven, right?
