Numerous private and public golf courses in Danville: Danville Golf Club, Tuscarora Country Club, Glen Oak Golf Club, Ringgold Golf Club, and nearby in Caswell County, NC is Caswell Pines. Smith Mt. Lake is about 35 miles north of Danville and Hyco Lake is about 25 minutes southeast of Danville. Susan Stilwell, Prudential Manasco Realty

Joe, Barry is right. Come to our beautiful area, you won't be dissapointed. Smith Mountain Lake is a genuine secret hidden in the Blue Ridge Mountain area of Southwest Virginia. The lake is a popular destination spot for vacationers, retirees and anyone looking for great fishing, water sports, golfing, world class dining, antiques and art galleries, world class historical sites, fashion and theatre.

The community continues to grow as visitors choose to become permanent residents. The excellent climate, peaceful scenery, low cost of living, low crime rates, friendly locals, easy access to amenities and, of course, the 500 miles of shore line on Smith Mountain Lake are making this one of the best places to live in the United States!

I am not well versed on Danville but if you come just a little north to Franklin County ther are great courses Like Westlake, and Smith Mountain Lake which is 40 miles long and has 500 miles of shoreline. Come on over and I'll take you out on the lake and play some golf. Well, we will do the boating on the lake and golfing on the course but I'll bet you figured that out.

Joe....

Gold if greatin the Danville area. Blackhawk has been home to the LPGA events and there are many championship courses in the area. Castlewood Country Club is one of my favorites.

Now Lake Herrington.....that one I am not familier with.
