currently on your night stand as a must read?
I've read a couple I'd recommend. The first is Made to Stick Some very good points and perspectives on marketing. Readable, practical, useful.
The other, which I read a while ago, is Secrets of Power Negotiating. Good, fresh, useful.
Hope that helps.
Hi Janelle--Your books sound great! I will check them out.
I also like Louise Hay "You Can Heal Your Life," and Ben Sweetland "I Will" and "Grow Rich While You Sleep."
I like books with positive spin and win-win attitudes. Even the negotiating book I mentioned earlier is very positive and friendly!
Warm wishes & congrats on your family!
Linda
"the secret" and "the last lecture"
...to be honest I just started "the last lecture" this morning but heard great things about it and have enjoyed the first bit i have read so far!
Having recently had a baby... my reading has been more philosophical and life balance in nature than business pow wow (keeping a thriving and balanced real estate career with family IS possible, I have found!!!). Here have been my most recent reads.
Micheal Losier ~ Law of Attraction ~ http://www.lawofattractionbook.com
Michael is a great teacher in making the most of your life by being articulate about what it is you WANT.
Echart Tolle ~ The Power of Now. ~ http://www.eckharttolle.com
He is a teacher of quieting your busy mind, not getting caught up in the DRAMA of life, and being present. THIS MAN HAS CHANGED MY LIFE!!!!!! It will change your perspective on how you handle life's difficulties and stress. I highly recommend his teachings/work.
Talane Miedaner ~ Coach Yourself to Success ~ http://www.lifecoach.com
101 Tips from a personal coach for reaching your goals at work and in life.
Wayne Dyer ~ Living the Wisdom of the Tao ~ http://www.drwaynedyer.com
Wayne has been deamed by some as the father of motivation.
Yes, "The Go Giver," "How to Out-Negotiate Anyone, Including a Used Car Salesman" and --I'm not sure of the whole title, I'm reading it currently but it slipped my mind--"GO-Working With Your Strengths" or something similar to that.
Millionaire RE Agent is very good. Steve Morris' "Born to Be Exceptional, Conditioned to Be Average" is also excellent. And I go back to Dale Carnegie books every once in a while.
What do you recommend, Janelle?
Janelle,
I just finished reading The 4:8 Principle,Little Black Book of Connections and The Five Dysfunctions of a Team. All apply to life and business. They are easy reads and can be put to action immediately. Have a great day!
Hi Janelle,
That is a good question! The book that I am currently reading and I suggest you do the same is "The Millionaire Real Estate Agent" by Gary Keller. I am finding this book very motivational and changing my view as being a Real Estate Agent.
I hope that helps!
-Ian Hill
