Foster City townhouses question

We saw a few townhouses in Foster City that have 2 levels, usually kitchen and living room are on the ground 1st level with bedroom upstairs. My wife is concerned that it would be cold, damp and moist on the 1st ground level since its almost at earth/ground level. Is her concern valid? Should we be worried about it since we have small kids?
Please advise and share your opinions.

Thanks.

I also haven't heard about this concern from homeowners. Most houses have 1 story only and so far nobody complains about cold and moist. I also live in Foster City and have installed hardwood floors on ground level, and I feel comfortable.

I haven't heard that as an issue from anyone I've worked with. I would imagine it would depend on, among other things, what type of flooring the unit had. Although it would be a matter of opinion and their observances, the seller is required to disclose something like that.

I'm also interested in hearing more input - it's a great question.
