Parker Quigl…, Real Estate Pro in Townville, SC

At what point does a person decide happiness is more important than cold hard cash?

Asked by Parker Quigley, Townville, SC Sat May 11, 2013

Many sellers put their lives & happiness on hold in order to squeeze every possible dollar out of their home. In the meantime, prices are going up on replacement properties and time passes very quickly.

It's certainly up to the seller. In some seller's minds, cold-hard-cash can purchase a whole lot of happiness. Or at least it can "rent" it.

The key is definitely following your realtor's advice so you can price the property right and get it sold quicker. But it's so easy for a seller to get caught up in what they have put into the property. I'd choose happiness every time. It really is priceless.

If prices on replacement property are going up why wouldn't the current property also be going up? Are you saying only replacement property is going up in value?
