Below is the listing as it appeared in the Marco Island MLS until it was withdrawn in April of 2008, the taxes were $8,101.
The listing you found for $10,000 is a new game that is being played , prospective buyers will put offers in on the property thereby creating a Bid atomosphere. I assure you even in this market the house is worth at least $500,000 and probably more. I have been in the home and it is pretty nice. By the way the home sold for $995,000 in 2006.

It wouldn't matter anyway because the taxes will be recalculated after puchase. You can contact Collier county property appraisers to find out more.
