It looks like, if that's the neighborhood that you're focused on that there are some real opportunities for you. There's also some homes that I have contacted as a home retention consultant in that area that are being 'abandoned' by their owners, so there's some others that will be coming on the market as well.
What happens with neighborhoods with that much activity is that they are bought, new homeowners improve the homes and the neighborhood gets a big boost in its condition. I think those are areas that are great bargains!
As Erin said, get on one of the realtors websites (we all have them) and set up a search to see for yourself. Or you can have a realtor set it up for you to arrange for a more specific search. I think it will teach you alot about the neighborhoods and help you narrow down what homes work best for you.
