what is the difference between lots and acres?

Acres is a defined measure of land. They are approx. 200 ft by 200 ft. Lots is a more generalized term. They could be any size. In the Jesup area, a city lot is generally 1/2 acre. Depending on the subdivision, most of their lots will be 1 acre. Some

An acre is equal to 43, 560 square feet, Kara, while a lot is an indeterminate size. It can be as small as 1/100 of an acre (in non-metric terms) up to multiple acres. Hope this helps. Good Luck!
