Credit can certainly be a problem for buyers, but frankly, there are lenders, especially smaller, local lenders, who will work with you to help you improve your credit. Depending on how much you need to do, it might be able to be repaired enough to qualify for a home mortgage within months. Plus, there are programs designed for folks who might otherwise be qualified buyers (they have steady employment) but are on the lower income range.
Give me a call and I can refer you to several people who can talk to you on the phone and let you know pretty quickly where you can go from here. It's a great time to be a buyer in this market, and it's definitely worth checking into!

I don't know how bad your credit is. But to see if you qualify, the first step is to apply with a knowledgeable, local lender. It won't cost you a penny. Contact Lisa Warren at SWBC Mortgage to see where you stand. Here is her contact info:

She is super easy to work with. Let her know Darrell recommended her and whenever you are set to make an offer on this home or find another home, I'll be glad to assist. Good Luck!
